Stella Mariae Household Website Development

Role: Website Developer
Timeline: January ’25-May ‘25
Tools: Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop
Team: Guided by professor, individually in class, link works in school’s Wi-Fi network

Project Overview: Designed and developed a fully functional website over the course of a semester to build experience in front-end web development.

·       Created the website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as part of a semester-long course project

·       Built five pages from scratch with a focus on usability, interactivity, and responsive code

·       Designed responsive pages that adapt across mobile, and desktop

·       Practiced iterative development—testing, and refining the website

·       Learned how to write clear and usable code

·       Gained stronger problem-solving skills through biweekly peer feedback, and different attempts in launching site on school’s server, accessible via University Wi-Fi

·       Gained strong foundational knowledge in web development and legal/ethically correct techniques

·       Strengthened confidence in independently planning and creating a full website project

Throughout my time learning the basics of coding language, including HTML, CSS, and Javascript, I more so focused on the correct and usable coding then visual design. This being a fairly simple design contained completely functional buttons, embedded video off of YouTube, a working carousel, user experience of function and clarity, contrasting colors, and more.
